The Heron Bay Golf Academy is located at the beautiful Heron Bay Golf Club
in Coral Springs, FL. It features Mike Richards as the Director of Instruction. Mike previously worked as lead instructor
for Jim Flick in the Nicklaus/Flick Golf Schools as well as a lead instructor with Hank Haney in the ESPN Golf Schools. He has also been nominated by Golf Magazine as one of the top 100 Instructors in the
Country and consistently named as one of the Top 100 Instructor in his region. Mike is also a 20 year member of the PGA of
America. The Academy has two high-tech video systems, with capabilities
of sending lessons via email, and putting instruction on disks for student use after lessons. We are a full-service
golf academy from private lessons, junior camps, corporate clinics and now 1/2 day-3 day golf schools.
The Heron Bay Golf Club was built
as a tournament course by the TPC (Tournament Players Club) network and hosted the Honda Classic for six years, from 1997-2002.
The present owners host over 60 golf functions annually and we tailor instruction to numerous corporate outings. This
past year we became the annual host for the Dixie Amateurs as well as the Big 10 Match Play Championship.
Heron Bay has the finest driving
range in South Florida - 40 acres with multiple tees, chipping areas, bunkers and a large putting green. The lighted Driving
Range is now open daily until 10:00pm.
